Call for 2017 Participation

The Access Services Conference is looking for volunteers to serve on committees for the 2017 conference.

We are looking for volunteers to work on the following committees:

Program Planning Committee (6-10 members)

The Program Planning Committee is responsible for reviewing proposals and making recommendations to the Organizing Committee; facilitating sessions during the conference including assisting presenters with setup; and assisting volunteers during conference as needed

Local Activities Committee (3-5 members) restricted to Metro-Atlanta residents

The Local Activities Committee is responsible for  organizing local socializing events for conference attendees; arranging any library tours and provide logistical information and offering food and drink as well as local events suggestions.

Awards Committee (3-5 members)

The Awards Committee is responsible for soliciting nominations, reviewing candidates, and recommending recipients for the Distinguished Achievement in Access Services Award and Travel Scholarships.   

Volunteers are committing to attending the 2017 Access Services Conference in Atlanta, GA. Tentatively scheduled for  November 15-17 at a discounted registration price.
