Nava Cohen holds a Master’s in Library and Information Sciences (MLIS) from the University of South Florida and Master’s in Education (Instructional Design) from the University of Central Florida. As a third generation librarian, Nava has dedicated over a decade and a half to academic librarianship, including at her current role at Pasco-Hernando State College. She established and maintains the English Embedded Librarianship program at her campus spearheading incorporating e-Resources and librarians directly into campus English classes in CANVAS, Nava oversees Interlibrary Loan policy and procedures, helps assist with Open Educational Resource (OER) initiatives, and hosts several on campus research workshops throughout the academic year. Nava currently serves as co-chair on Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC)’s Statewide Resource Sharing Committee and secretary of FLVC’s Textbook Affordability and Open Educational Resources, actively contributing to access service resources throughout the state of Florida. In her spare time, Nava is very active in her synagogue, enjoys listening to audiobooks, and knitting or other crafts while watching tv.
